JOB SUMMARY

  • Product development Specialist works on developing new products and improving current products to
  • increase the value of products.
  • Promote reduction of row material costs and propose new and innovative product ideas.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute product research and development for a product category (e.g. Confectionery (Pocky), Confectionery (Chocolate & Biscuit) or Ice Cream/Health & Wellness) to realize the product development plan of R&D Center ASEAN for increasing/creating the value of products.
  • Develop and manage formulas for assigned product categories by utilizing and exploring raw materials in compliance with related laws and regulatory requirements including Halal (CICOT and MUI).
  • Create prototypes and analyze consumer research results to meet consumer expectations.
  • Promote reduction of manufacturing costs by reducing raw material costs, solving production line problems, and improving production conditions.
  • Manage formula approval and document management such as ingredient lists, nutrition facts, formula sheets, manufacturing standards, production process standards, etc.
  • Support for product category manufacturing and OEM capabilities, raw materials rationalization and optimization, etc.
  • Support for establishing manufacturing/production conditions for new/renewal product implementation. Contribute to stabilizing the production of new and/or improved products in partnership with manufacturing facilities in Thailand, Indonesia, and OEMs.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing facilities to improve production efficiency (e.g. loss reduction).
  • Engage and support all team members and ensure open and effective communication exists at all times.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and build trust relationships.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCES REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Food Sciences or equivalent. Master degree is an added advantage
  • At least 4 years of product development experience in the food industry.
  • Good knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FSSC22000, ISO14001, HALAL, and food regulation in the markets supply by ASEAN.
