JOB SUMMARY

This position acts as a subject matter expert in SAP systems, possessing extensive hands-on knowledge of SAP FI/CO, including FI-GL, FI-AR, FI-AP, FI-AA at a general level, and specialised expertise in CO-CEA, CO-CCA, CO-PCA, CO-PA, CO-IO, and CO-PC. The role also includes experience with Material Ledger both technically and functionally, as well as business process configuration and external integration with other systems and solutions.

Partner closely with Regional Finance, Accounting, and Cost Controlling teams to understand business priorities, translate requirements into system solutions, and support continuous process improvement.

Act as the primary IT business partner for SAP and finance-related non-SAP applications across ASEAN entities.

Additionally, this position supports applications related to Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), utilising conceptual logic to enhance project management and vendor management processes. The role involves aligning FP&A tools and methodologies with SAP systems to facilitate effective budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking for projects, as well as improving vendor selection, evaluation, and relationship management through integrated SAP solutions and external applications.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Partnering & Project Management
  • Partnering and facilitate coordination among SAP Business Process Owners, Key Business Users and stakeholders using SAP and other financial applications within the ASEAN region. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal business and function managers across all platforms.
  • Involved in full project cycle right from sourcing, project preparation, realization to Go-Live.
  • Ensure smooth implementation of project, on schedule within approved budget. Regular progress presentation and communication to Project Steering Committee, collaborates with Solution Partners to develop comprehensive plans and work breakdown structures for SAP and finance-related application projects in ASEAN region.
  • Develop and update blueprint and functional specification through collaboration with SAP business partners
Service Delivery & Operation Management
  • Own service delivery, issue resolution, system stability, enhancements, and vendor coordination for SAP and finance-related applications.
  • Ensure day-to-day application operations, incident/problem management, change requests, and support continuity for SAP and finance-related applications.
  • Provide backup support for designated business applications during team member absence, including SAP SD/MM, commercial related applications, etc.
  • Oversee the daily operations and continuous enhancement of SAP systems, as well as other finance-related applications (e.g. Jedox, E-Tax, DMS, etc.), including managing financial consolidation and integration interfaces with third-party logistics (3PL), bank payment platforms, customers, and other external systems related to FICO and broader financial concerns.
  • Provide leadership to engage and collaborate with all departments to understand user needs related to SAP and other financial applications. Identify and implement best practices to support financial operations across multiple platforms.
  • Proactively explore, investigate, and propose comprehensive IT solutions—including SAP and alternative financial applications—to address evolving business requirements.
  • Prepare presentations and complete analyses on the operational status of SAP and other financial service applications to inform stakeholders and guide decision-making.
  • Conduct solution design workshops, develop business process designs, and propose solutions based on the technical functionalities of SAP and other financial systems.
  • Configure master data in SAP and other financial applications, and provide guidance and training to users on integrated business processes.
  • Develop functional specifications from business requirements, translating them into technical terms for ABAP developers and relevant teams working with other financial platforms.
  • Troubleshoot configuration issues, research OSS notes, and create OSS notes for SAP, as well as resolve problems and document solutions for other financial applications.
  • Analyse and document current ("as-is") processes, and complete supporting documentation—including process diagrams—for SAP and other financial systems used within the organisation.
  • Gather requirements from finance users, implement necessary configuration changes, and test improvements to ensure proposed solutions meet requirements and align with processes across SAP and other financial applications.
  • Participate in user acceptance test planning and execution for SAP and other financial systems to ensure quality and suitability of implemented solutions.
  • Configure master data in SAP and other financial applications, and support users through training and guidance on integrated business processes.
  • Train key users and end users, and prepare training materials for SAP as well as other financial applications, ensuring comprehensive knowledge transfer and adoption.
Vendor Management
  • Lead the Quality Assurance process across all aspects of SAP system delivery and operation management, as well as non-SAP FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) applications. This includes comprehensive Vendor Management of Application Management Support (AMS) services provided by third-party solution providers for both SAP and FP&A platforms.
  • Work closely and build strong relationship with IT Solution Partners to ensure the delivery of any outsourced job is able to meet expectation and service level agreement (SLA)

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCES REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in functional and technical knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA, as well as the related system design, IT operational management, and operation management
  • Experience supporting finance-related non-SAP applications e.g. Jedox, E-Tax, DMS, etc. will be advantageous
  • Superior and thorough knowledge of SAP FI/CO solution and ABAP capabilities and business process configurations with minimum 5 years’ experience in project and operation support, equipped with significant and proven customization experience.
  • Experience in leading SAP functional consultants with different background and multinationals.
  • Good ability to guide and train the users on Business Process and SAP best practices.
  • Good exposure in SAP HANA technology. Willing to conduct self-study and investigation to gain knowledge to prepare necessary steps for migration from SAP S4 HANA to SAP RISE.
  • Pro-actively involved in SAP related sub systems RFP, vendor selection and project implementation
