Three decades, one shared journey
Chutima’s connection to Glico began long before she joined in 1995. Growing up with Pocky, Alfie, and Pelotty, she associated the brand with trust and quality. When she eventually became part of the company, that early admiration evolved into a long-standing professional journey.
What has inspired her to stay for more than three decades is Glico’s culture, one that continually challenges, develops, and grows its people. As the company evolved, so did she, building a career shaped by shared purpose and mutual progress.
Evolving with the business
Chutima began in the Purchasing Department and steadily progressed to Department Manager before expanding her impact in the Corporate Planning Office in 2018. In 2020, she took on her current role as Procurement Manager.
Over the years, she has witnessed remarkable transformation. Sales expanded significantly across domestic and export markets. Manual systems gave way to automation in production and procurement. With each shift, her responsibilities deepened, requiring new skills, sharper business acumen, and greater cross-functional collaboration.
Through these changes, one lesson became clear: procurement is not transactional. It is about balancing Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, and Innovation in every decision.
Passing the torch forward
Chutima sees the organisation as a connected system where every role influences the whole. Mentoring younger colleagues remains one of the most meaningful aspects of her work. By sharing practical experience and encouraging a growth mindset, she helps bridge generational perspectives and prepare future leaders for greater responsibility.
