A veteran who has been with Glico for more than 10 years, Damri majored in Mechanical Engineering in his university days and has been honing his skills in the industry since graduating.
His work experience includes controlling production lines, machine design as well as problem solving. Damri’s skill set is always expanding; he is also able to easily identify the necking process and develop ways to cut costs.
Solving problems are my forte
Wanting to gain new experiences, Damri jumped at the chance to pursue a career at Glico, a brand that he has known and loved since he was a child.
Being familiar with the snacks made by Glico, Damri wanted to learn about the manufacturing process, something he has accomplished since coming on board as a Senior Specialist. His day-to-day duties are aplenty: Designing machines and processes, developing cost-effective solutions, and managing projects to optimise performance.
As a dedicated engineering technician, Damri continuously drives improvement in engineering projects to add value to his team.
Scaling new heights in technical skills and personal growth
Since joining Glico, Damri has traveled to Japan several times to attend vigorous training.
During his first training trip, he was exposed to the working culture of Glico Japan. On his second stint which lasted two years, he learned new processes and technology, and was able to upgrade his skills and technical know-how to provide training for his team when he returned.
Damri says Growth is the key word that comes to mind when he recalls his training experiences or faces challenges while at work.
For him, being able to improve his skills and techniques, and constantly grow as an employee and person, is a value he holds close to his heart.
