History of
Caplico

1970
Caplico Chocolate
This product was born as an aerated chocolate with a light texture that can be enjoyed biting into it with one hand. The aeration is achieved by using a vacuum cooler to remove the air out of the chocolate filled into the wafer cone while cooling it to around -30°C to solidify it. Vacuuming the chocolate creates many air bubbles in the chocolate, resulting in a light texture. The soft-serve ice cream-like shape is also very original and has made it very popular.

Giant Caplico
Emphasis was placed on the product by discontinuing the inclusion of toys as well as the use of characters with the inclusion of stickers that had been used since about 1980. The price remained the same, but the size was increased by 50%, and a strawberry and yogurt flavor mix was also released. Furthermore, like Giant Cone in the ice cream sector, Giant Baba was used in the advertisements to create a synergistic effect and greatly increase name recognition.
